50th Anniversary Event with Superior Science

Create your own Jitter Bug

For the past 16 summers, Superior Science has been providing Thunder Bay youth with a fun, hands-on science camp experience. Lakehead University has been home since its inception.

Lakehead's very own undergraduate science students are employed to organize, plan and implement all the programming.  Each summer, campers have so much fun experimenting with new S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) hands-on activities that they don’t even realize that they are learning concepts that they will be introduced to in their next school year.

For the 50th Anniversary, Superior Science has a special treat for children of Lakehead Alumni. We will be learning about solar energy by children creating their very own solar powered bugs.

Watch them jitter around in the sunlight!
