Build like an engineer, learn to code, experiment in real chemistry labs, and much more at Superior Science Summer Camps!

We're celebrating 25 years of providing exciting, hands-on learning at our summer camps for youth in grades 1-8.

Our STEM camps at Lakehead University will have campers visiting labs across our campus, getting outside to explore our ecosystem, and engaging in a wide range of STEM activities - all while building their confidence and making friends! STEM Camps

Superior Science STEM camps offer campers in grades 1-8 the chance to explore a wide range of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math topics. From conducting experiments in chemistry labs to catching crayfish in the river on campus, STEM camps have it all! STEM camps will incorporate indoor and outdoor activities to encourage learning and play while enjoying the summer weather where possible.

All-Girls STEM Camp

All-Girls STEM Camps are open to female-identifying and gender-nonconforming youth! The goal of All Girls programming is to bring together like-minded youth and explore what it’s like to be a woman in STEM through exciting, hands on programming. Youth will have the opportunity to learn from female mentors working in industry, and visit real life labs! These programs are designed to build confidence in STEM, and allow youth to see themselves represented in STEM fields.

Coding and Technology Camp

Back by popular demand, Coding and Technology Camps offer a more focused experience learning coding, programming and the discovering the world of technology!

Younger campers will learn block coding basics, code our Ozobots using only paper and markers, learn about binary code, and use MakeyMakeys circuit kits to build a banana piano!

Older campers will also learn coding basics, and will explore web and game design, 3D printing, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.

No prior coding experience required for any age group.
