What is Superior Science?

Superior Science is a student-run, non-profit program that sparks children's interests in science, engineering and technology through fun, hands-on activities. Based at Lakehead University, Superior Science's philosophy lies in learning through hands-on and interactive experiences. Since 1999, this program has continued its goal of promoting awareness of science by offering a variety of outreach programs throughout Northwestern Ontario. Over 25 000 youth have been reached throughout Northwestern Ontario since Superior Science began over fifteen years ago!

Who is it for?

We offer camp programs for all youth in grades 1 through 8 and a Girls Club for girls in grades 2 to 6. In everything we do, we aim to create inclusive, positive, and fun experiences that will bring out the inner scientist or engineer in anyone! Through our outreach programs, we also seek to engage youth who wouldn't normally participate in science programs.  Please visit our About Us page for more information on Superior Science.  As we'll, please visit our Girls Club page for more information regarding girls club.

Superior Science is a proud member of Actua.

Actua provides training, resources and support to its national network of members located at universities and colleges across Canada in the delivery of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education outreach programming. Each year, these members engage over 225,000 youth in 500 communities nationwide. Please visit Actua at www.actua.ca. www.actua.ca. Feel free to check out our other SUPPORTERS as well.
